Exemplary Life
The Persian Empire during the time of Daniel was a great empire. It had 120 satraps with three presidents over them. One of them was Daniel.
Because he was faithful to the LORD, the LORD distinguished him above other presidents and satraps. The king even “planned to appoint him over the whole kingdom” (Dan. 6:3). Now, the other presidents and the satraps tried to find faults with Daniel. But, “they could find no ground for complaint or corruption, because he was faithful, and no negligence or corruption could be found in him” (Dan. 6:4). They said, “We shall not find any ground for complaint against this Daniel unless we find it in connection with the law of his God” (Dan. 6:5). The only thing they found was Daniel praying towards Jerusalem every day.
What a man! What an example! Even his enemies could not find any fault with him except his dedication to the LORD.
Let us take some time to think over this and reflect on our own selves today.
