How would others know us as?

Gen. 26

Isaac went down to Gerar the land of the Philistines, to king Abimelech because of famine (Gen. 26:1). There, Isaac prospered and became very wealthy as he received blessings from the LORD. Isaac also built an altar and called on the name of the LORD. Then Abimelech, along with Ahuzzath his adviser and Phicol the commander of his army, went to Isaac. They told him, “We see plainly that the LORD has been with you” (Gen. 26:28) and prodded him to make a covenant with them, saying, “you are the blessed of the LORD” (Gen. 26:28).

Today, we are also the blessed of the LORD. But how would others know us as? Is the way we live our lives still appropriate for the people whom the LORD is with? Others could plainly see that the LORD was with Isaac. They also knew he was also the blessed of the LORD.

As individuals, as a society, as a people or nation, or as a church, would people know us as those whom the LORD is with?
