Gazing into heaven
Acts 7:55
Stephen had been preaching courageously. Because of his speech, the Jews became enraged and they ground their teeth at him. “But filled with the Holy Spirit, he gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God” (Acts 7:55).
How important it is to gaze into heaven as we are continuously surrounded by all kinds of troubles today! If we continue to gaze only into our problems, we will become even more troubled by them. If we gaze into worldly things, they will soon fade away.
Therefore, as we are encountering numerous problems and hardships, the church needs to “gaze into heaven” and to have living hope and continue our lives in faithfulness.
Dear brothers and sisters, where are you gazing at? Do you see only problems? Change where you are looking and gaze into heaven.
