The rock higher than I

“From the end of the earth I call to you, when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Psalm 61:2

As humans, sometimes we feel weak and hopeless.  And as we think like humans, we only think as far or as high as we can go, which often makes us more worried.

The Psalmist, however, knows what do do in such a situation. He calls upon the rock higher than he.

Many times, we forget that there is a Rock higher than us, a Rock that is strong, that is a bulwark and our comfort.

Like the Psalmist, let us remember to call upon the LORD our Rock whenever we feel down, because He is higher than us.
