Worthy to suffer dishonour
The Book of Acts is an important book that records the acts of the apostles and the early church. The early believers were persecuted everywhere. But their faith grew stronger and they were glad. In fact, “they rejoiced that they were considered worthy to suffer dishonour for the sake of the name” (Acts 5:41).
We rarely suffer hardships today. Some will, we know that. But many Christians are now living the life. Instead of dishonour, we are honoured for our works. But it appears that our faith is becoming increasingly weak, and we appear to become unhappy for many reasons unknown.
We are now living a life of contrast from the early church. Let us look into the early church and resolve to move forward once more.
