God remembers
Gen. 8:1
“God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the domestic animals that were with him in the ark.”
When God shut Noah and the animals in the ark (Gen. 7:16), God did not simply let Noah and all the other creatures be. He remembered them (Gen. 8:1). He knew what they were going through, what they felt like, and what their hardships or suffering were. He was—and is—never a God from afar.
Whatever befalls us, wherever we may be, let us take courage in the knowledge that the LORD cares for us and remembers us. He never leaves us, not even when diseases, troubles, and dangers lurk and rage outside.
