Honorable in the sight of the LORD and men
Believers are “His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10). We are expected to do good works, not only once or twice, but all our lives (cf 2 Cor. 5:14).
The Apostle Paul served faithfully and in all holiness. He did not see anything against himself (1 Cor. 4:4). Therefore, he did things honourable not only in the sight of God, but also of man (2 Cor. 8:21).
Many Christians today wear masks. Not the mask we think would protect us from the coronavirus, but masks that would hide our true identity. We wear masks showing ourselves honest, holy and blameless, while on the inside we are filled with pride, arrogance, insolence and unholiness. Let us learn that we are expected to do good works before men and God alike.
