The words of the LORD shall be fulfilled

Ezek. 12:25&28

Ezekiel was one of the major prophets. He prophesied before and after the fall of Jerusalem. He was also one of the captives to Babylon. The word of the LORD came to him and he saw visions and prophesied against Jerusalem and its sins. Ezekiel often acted out what would happen to the Israelites.

Ezekiel 12:15&28 says, “But I the LORD will speak the word that I speak and it will be fulfilled. It will no longer be delayed; but in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and fulfil it, says the LORD GOD… None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the words that I speak will be fulfilled, says the LORD GOD.” The words that the LORD had spoken will surely be fulfilled and will be fulfilled soon.

Today, the LORD still speaks to us. In the days of Ezekiel, the people refused to listen and believe in them. What about us? What do we believe more – our own intuitions and intellect, or the words of the LORD?

The words of the LORD is always fulfilled and does not return empty handed (IS. 55:11). It has come true, it comes true and it will come true, always. Let us think about how we live, knowing that the words of the LORD will always be fulfilled. Let is shape our thinking and our lives today.

One day, Jesus Christ will come. The LORD is never slack in His promises as many think He is (2 Pet. 3:9). When the time come, it will. The dawn is almost upon us. What the LORD says will all be fulfilled.
