The Jordan must be crossed

Deut. 11:31

Yesterday, we spoke a bit about the Promised Land. But how do we get into it?

Deuteronomy 11:31 says, “When you cross the Jordan to go in to occupy the land that the LORD your God is giving you…” By saying this, we know that the Jordan must be crossed, even if it is overflowing (which it did!).

Today, there are many of us who refuse to cross over the Jordan but try to occupy the land anyway. This could be one of the reason why true Christian living is so rare today. We call ourselves ‘Christians’ without accepting Christ or fearing God. There are so many people who do not fear the LORD but are involved in Church services and ministries. Such people remain outside the promised land while being influenced by all the attractions of the Transjordan. This is quite impossible.

The Jordan must be crossed.
