“See, I am coming soon.”

-Rev. 22:7, 12, 20

We tend to repeat points we want to get through. Be it letters, speeches or books, points which the author wants to get through are often repeated. Moreover, such points also always occupy the conclusion of anything.

Jesus also spoke of His coming in several occasions in the Bible. In Revelations 22 (in case you do not know it, it is the last chapter of the Bible), Jesus says that He is coming soon and repeats it three times in the chapter alone. Here, He does not simply say that He is coming again, He says He is coming soon.

This means that Jesus’ coming is already at hand. He could come anytime. Roughly two thousand years had already passed since He said that. Just think of how more ‘imminent’ it must be today as you read these words!

Therefore, we must examine if we are really ready for His coming.

Revelation 21:27 says, “”Nothing unclean will enter it (heaven), nor anyone who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

Are you still covered in filth? Have your sins been washed away by the blood of the lamb? Is your name written in the book of life?

Jesus is the only way to the Father. Come to Him today.
