Jesus’ resurrection

Mat. 28:1-10

The women, after waking up early in the morning went to the tomb. When the women saw Jesus resurrected, they were so elated that they took hold of His feet and worshipped Him. Then He said, “Do not be afraid.”

  1. The women went to Jesus’ tomb at dawn. Nothing else mattered to them. They had to see at least the tomb of Jesus. They were filled with the thought of Jesus. When we wake up, what do we think of first? Our phones, or something else?
  2. In God, there is nothing to be afraid of. They met the angel who told them, “Do not be afraid.” They met Jesus who told them, “Do not be afraid.” Our saviour tells us not to be afraid, but to have peace.
  3. They were told to tell others about it. What are we doing about it?
  4.  The women were elated when they met Jesus. Indeed, anyone who meets Jesus are elated and are filled with joy. Is your life still filled with joy?
